I have always had a great appreciation for the arts. From an early age I
was involved in music and dance. Only in recent years have I
discovered the joy and satisfaction of painting.
I believe that art, in most any form, stimulates the mind and enriches
the spirit. As an author endeavors to tell a story in the most
meaningful way, I want my paintings to fully express my feeling for the
subject matter.
I generally paint in oils as I like the buttery consistency and the flexibility
they offer. My work is mostly representational with a soft approach
which seems to be my natural mode. I also enjoy taking time out to
experiment with color and design in a more abstract manner.
It's a pleasure to be associated with Uptown Gallery and its many
talented artists.
