Frank Norvell
I paint from photographs taken while living and traveling in Europe
and the U.S. I also develop still life paintings from items that were
collected during these travels. Other compositions are created from
my imagination.
I use my engineering background to lay out my painting design for
architectural and landscape works to ensure I get the necessary
perspective and depth. I prefer working in oil because of the freedom
it gives to be adventuresome with color and composition. However, I
do use watercolor to create sketches when I travel
